This charming kitchen in a 1700s stone home, features our painted Colony cabinet. The doors are beaded inset, with a raised panel and gloss black door pulls. 

Being that this was a very old home, there were some features that gave us the opportunity to get really creative. The thick stone walls made window boxes out of both windows which went down to 18” from the floor. The only option to maximize cabinet and cupboard space was to partially cover these windows. So as to not waste that space, we built raised platforms for each window so that Ron could grow edible food plants and herbs right in his kitchen.   

While upper cabinets are traditionally 15” deep, Ron requested that they be 18” deep and added tea-cup shelves to the cabinets by the windows.

This kitchen was also designed to add a pass-through to the dining room which allowed for us to add a small desk/seating area inside the kitchen and extend the counter space into the dining room. Great island features that would not have otherwise been possible in the small historic kitchen.
